Kenall provided complete engineering design and project management for rehabilitation of runways, taxiways, and aprons at Hobby Airport. Over the course of the project, our design scope expanded to include relocation of a roadway, drainage improvements, and repaving of a parking lot.
Kenall’s primary focus was on pavement rehabilitation – our services included pavement design and project management for runway and taxiway pavement rehabilitation, concrete panel replacement, joint sealing, asphalt patching, crack sealing, spalled concrete repair, sealing of concrete surfaces, installation of expansion joints, light can replacements, signs and pavement markings. We performed rehabilitation and/or replacement at several tenant transition pavement areas and the Southwest Airlines air cargo building, and constructed a turnaround for large fire trucks at the ARFF facility. As the project progressed, our design scope was expanded to include relocation of the Northwest Service Road, deepening/concrete lining a drainage swale adjacent to Taxiway”K”, and repaving of the Taxicab Parking Lot.
