Kenall contracted with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District and provided Infrastructure Inspection Support and Off-Road Protection Measures of Critical Habitat. The scope of work included providing environmental impacts analysis, habitat protection, and a wild fire control plan.

Our environmental support services to the US Army Corps of Engineers’ implementation of Fort Polk’s Maneuver Damage Assessment and Habitat Protection Program included supporting environmental impacts analysis, maneuver damage surveillance, off-road protection of critical habitats plan, fire protection planning and implementation, and ancillary habitat protection planning.

We provided extensive GIS services, including: importing maneuver damage data and loading the information into a parcel layer, importing raster images of all low water crossings for assessing the extent of damage, merging approximately 75 soil types for three parishes into one layer, merging information for several roadways, projecting hazardous area ranges using GIS, mapping endangered species ranges, creating aerial maps for Fort Polk, updating the database with additional data from field surveys, mapping buildings, and configuring and publishing GIS maps. We also provided training to client personnel on the GIS geodatabase.
