Kenall is under a contract with USACE Fort Worth district to provide A-E services required to develop a Design-Bid-Build Request for Proposal (DBB RFP) package to improve drainage and mitigate bird aircraft strike hazards (BASH) at Joint Reserve Base – Randolph Air Force Base (JBSA – RAN), Texas. A build-up of sediment and organic matter over time had caused ponding issues across the Randolph airfield, increasing bird activity and hazards to flight operations. This project specifically addressed eliminating water ponding and providing positive drainage on east/ west runways and east of Building 22.
Kenall’s scope of work includes, the overall project management of the task order; inspecting existing storm drain infrastructure; performing paving design and grading design; providing SWWP and demolition plan; verifying existing utilities; leading the development of 65/95/100% Design Data submittals; and cost estimates (MII); and responding to bidder inquires/ RFIs etc.
